Basic Workshop in Health Sciences Education Technology was organized by R A Podar Medical (Ayu.) College, Worli, Mumbai, in collaboration with Dept. of IMETTT, M.U.H.S., Nashik. We are thankful to Dept. of IMETTT for giving permission as per the reference No. MUHS/IMETTT/06/2023 dated 14/02/2023 & approval to conduct this workshop in our Institute. The workshop was conducted from 21/02/2023 to 23/02/2023.Total delegates participated in workshop - 26 Inauguration ceremony was conducted on day first at 9;30 am. Pre-test was taken on day 1st.
On day -1st (21/02/2023)
Dr. Maya Gokhale from MAM’s Sumatibai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Hadapsar, Pune, had delivered lectures
on “Ice breaking”, “Domains and Taxonomy”, “Phenomenon of learning and principles of adult learning” and “Communication skills”. She had also conducted the exercises on the same topic. Dr. Pranita Joshi- Deshmukh from MAM’s Sumatibai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Hadapsar, Pune, had delivered lectures on “Curriculum, outcomes and objectives”, “Introduction to Teaching Learning Methods”, and “AV Aids” along with different group activities on same topic. It is a very beautiful experience to listen & discuss with both the resource persons. They had cleared all our doubts. Feedback was conducted at the end of the day.
On day – 2nd (22/02/2023)
Dr. Santosh Patil from Bharati vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, Medical College & hospital, Sangli delivered his lectures on “Teaching Large Groups”, “Teaching Small Groups” and “Introduction to Assessment & Assessment Methods”. He had also conducted the exercises on the same topics. He had nicely conducted the exercises and group activity. On the same day Dr. Vaishali Patil from D Y Patil Medical College, Kolhapur, had delivered lectures and conduct exercises on, “Assessment of Knowledge: MCQ, SAQ & LAQ”, “Introduction to Reliability, Validity & Blueprinting” and “Microteaching”.
On day-3 (23/02/2023)
The scientific sessions were conducted by Dr. Suhasini Nagada, former dean of Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai and Dr. Sumedh Sonavane from Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai. Dr. Suhasini Nagada had delivered lectures and also conduct the exercises on “One Minute Preceptor”, “Assessment of Performance: OSCE and other newer methods”, and “Giving Feedback”. and Dr. Sumedh Sonavane had delivered a lecture and conduct the exercises on, “Practical Issues Related to University
Assessment”, “Assessment of Knowledge: Structured Oral Examination” and “Integrated Teaching”. He had also conducted a session on “Group Presentations on the framed curriculum”.
It was a nice experience to work with all the resource persons. Daily evaluation questionnaire was taken every day. Also, feedback of workshop was taken on last day from every participant. Post-test & valedictory function was conducted on day 3rd at 05.00 pm. Lastly, Dr. Subhashini M. Lahankar had delivered vote of thanks. Overall, the workshop was Successful.
